On the 8th and 9th of November 2017, in the Sheraton Warsaw Hotel, the 4th edition of the Innovative Manufacturing Forum took place. The event is the answer to the need for keeping in line with the constant changes in the realities of the market among industrial companies. The 4th edition was participated by over 240 participants who took part in 6 discussion panels, 3 fire chats, 6 “round tables” and 9 individual presentations, with the active participation of 45 speakers.

During the joint part of the Innovative Manufacturing Forum and the EuroPOWER Energy Conference, the participants had the pleasure to listen to the presentation of the Minister of Energy – Krzysztof Tchórzewski, about the development trajectory of the Polish energy system. Then debated was the topic of the possibilities, chances and needs connected with the technological jump in the Polish economy.

The starting block dedicated to the Innovative Manufacturing Forum was about the planning and optimization of production, with the goal of increasing productivity. Participants could listen to presentations on predictive maintenance and ADS (Autonomous Decision System). Debated next were the ways of modernizing production plants, and more precisely, how to gain the relevant funds for the transformation of a company, the monitoring systems of energy usage and technical media, as well as the modernization of machine parks.

The second day of the conference was started with an innovative method – Round Tables, which, to separate it from the classic organization of allowing interaction among participants, opens the possibility of the exchange of thoughts and experience. Every table was led by a host, who was an expert in the selected field. Every table held a comprehensive discussion on topics connected to the production sector, including: how to effectively protect production systems during the times of dynamic development of OT technology; how to select an optimal source of financial investment in the production branch or about intelligent robotization and automatization of production in the era of IIoT. The next stage of the conference was a debate on production in the era of robotization, as well as a case study. The participants then took part in fire chats, where representatives of Polish companies gaining global success were heard. The last panel of the conference was about the digitization of production and the benefits that are thanks to the implementation of Industrial IoT.
